The Southern Night cake is a magnificent dessert that gives you the opportunity to experiment, show imagination and create a real confectionery masterpiece at home. One of its obvious advantages is a simple set of products available in every home. Airy chocolate cake is wonderfully delicious combined with buttercream. Decorate the cake with nuts, fruits or jelly and get a new taste.
To make the dough, first of all add baking powder and soda to the flour. After mixing them, add cocoa to the flour.
In a large bowl, whisk the softened butter and sugar with a mixer. After getting a homogeneous mass, beat in the eggs one at a time.
Mix a glass of milk with a tablespoon of vinegar.
Now the most important thing is to knead the chocolate dough. To do this, mix the dry flour mixture, milk with vinegar and egg–oil mixture. After mixing, the dough should be moderately thick.
Prepare a detachable mold by covering its bottom with baking paper and greasing the sides with oil.
Pour the chocolate batter into a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes in the oven. It may take a little more or less time. Make sure that you are ready by checking the cake with a toothpick (if the toothpick comes out of the dough dry, you can pull out the cake). Set the oven temperature to 200°.
In the same half hour, prepare the cream. To do this, beat 1/2 pack of butter and 1/2 jar of condensed milk with a mixer. Do this carefully, at medium speed, without allowing the cream to separate. Once the mass has become homogeneous, remove the mixer.
Cut the cooled cake and spread it with cream.
After melting the chocolate, pour it over the top cake. The cake is ready!
